Quotes "Being part of the Tembusu community has been an exhilarating experience! Apart from participating in student-initiated activities as well as honing my critical thinking skills through the uniquely designed Ideas and Exposition modules, informal learning opportunities are also available to enhance and complete my College experience."

Financial Aid and Scholarships

To help students defray the cost of staying and studying in residential colleges, we have in place financial aid initiatives comprising bursaries, scholarships and college grants. These financial aid initiatives are available to NUS undergraduate students who are residing at one of the residential colleges in UTown and reading the University Town College Programme (UTCP), the University Scholars Programme (USP) or the Ridge View Residential College Programme.

  1. Bursaries
  2. Scholarships
  3. Residential Programme Bursaries: Singaporean students will be considered for Residential Programme Bursaries if they are not successful for the above financial aid initiatives.
  4. College Grants: College Grants are made available to NUS undergraduate students staying at the residential colleges. For more information and/or to apply, please visit the websites of College of Alice & Peter Tan, Cinnamon College (USP), Residential College 4, Ridge View Residential College and Tembusu College.
  5. Post-Secondary Education Account (PSEA) Scheme: Students with PSEA account or have siblings with PSEA account may use the PSEA funds to cover the compulsory College fees (accommodation and meal plans) arising from the UTCP or the USP. Please click here for the application process or contact the Office of Financial Aid for more information.

Please note that if you are offered financial assistance for your education at the residential college as well as a bursary/scholarship by OFA/Faculty, you will be informed whether you are allowed to hold both awards concurrently. If you are not allowed to do so, the award with the lower quantum will be automatically withdrawn. Please check your NUS email account regularly as you may be required to submit additional supporting documents and/or accept the offer (if successful) by a stipulated deadline.
